Como parte del proyecto, las estaciones base y la red de Iusacell previamente instaladas por Alcatel-Lucent serán actualizadas para soportar la nueva red denominada EV-DO Rev.A.
Alcatel-Lucent anunció un contrato por un año para expandir y mejorar la red de Iusacell, lo que permitirá al operador mexicano soportar la tecnología 3G y continuar con sus servicios IusaTV, banda ancha móvil y video-telefonía a su base de clientes.
